I'm currently affiliated with the Agricultural Sciences Section at the University of Porto, Portugal, where I teach Horticulture and Postharvest Physiology for undergraduate and graduate students.

Current teaching assignments include Horticulture, Floriculture and Postharvest courses.

My previous teaching and mentoring experience include:

  • Lecturing Vegetable Crops at UTAD, 2000/2001 

  • Developing and teaching a graduate level course in Postharvest Physiology, 2000, UTAD, Portugal.

  • Laboratory instructor for HOS 3013C General Horticulture, Horticultural Sciences Department, University of Florida, Fall Semester 1998, under the supervision of Dr. Bala Rathinasabapathi.

  • Laboratory instructor for General Horticulture, Vegetable Production and Crop Biology classes for Agricultural Engineering majors at UTAD, Portugal, 1993-1996.

  • Thesis advisor to six undergraduate students in Horticulture, UTAD, 1995-1996.

  • Lectured Crop Production to Food Engineering majors between 1993 and 1996 at the ESB, Portugal.
